The Branford Board of Education announced the appointment of CABE Search Services, an educational recruitment firm, to facilitate a search for the next Superintendent of School in Branford.  Dr. Jacqueline Jacoby, Senior Consultant for CABE, will head up the search team. The Branford Board of Education indicated that engaging the public in the search process is a priority.

With that in mind, we have scheduled forums with many groups in the schools and planned forums for parents and the community. The Board encourages everyone to participate and meet with the Consultant in order to assist in defining the qualities of an exceptional leader for the Branford Schools.  The forums have been scheduled for:

"We encourage community members to participate in the superintendent search process by sharing their personal insight about our schools and town," said Frank Carrano, Chairman of the Branford Board of Education.  "The Board is committed to defining the leadership requirements for the next superintendent using information gathered from a wide range of perspectives. As such, community involvement is an essential component".   

Anyone who is unable to attend the community forums can complete a Superintendent Search Leadership Profile Form. These forms are available at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library, James Blackstone Memorial Library and the Canoe Brook Senior Center. Forms are also available online at the district's website: http://www.branford.k12.ct.us/   Completed forms may be returned to the drop boxes at the aforementioned locations or they can be mailed to CABE Search Services, P.O. Box 111, Milford, CT 06460, or faxed to (203) 877-1096. Completed forms must be received on or before Friday, March 26, 2010. We value your input.
