February is National Children’s Dental Health Month

Dental Services Available in Branford School:

As February is National Children’s Dental Health month many activities have been scheduled at the state and national level. In Branford, the East Shore Health Department and School Based Health Center Program in collaboration with Branford Public Schools will be bringing a mobile dental program for students in grades K-8. The Smile Program™ will provide dental screenings, prevention and/or sealant application. All the Dentists and dental hygienists providing services are licensed Connecticut dental providers.

A detailed permission form will be sent home to all parents of students and those wishing to have their child seen by the Smile Program™ must complete the form and return it to the school nurse. The program will take place following this schedule;

·        Walsh Intermediate School on 3/16,

·        Linda Chipkin School on 3/5

·        Tisko School on 3/18

·        Sliney School on 3/23 and 3/24

·        Murphy School on 3/26.

Parents are asked to be on the lookout for the Permission forms being sent home with their child this month. Please complete and return to the Nurses Office as soon as possible. Please call 203 315-3534 if you have any questions about this program.
